Brief Curriculum Vitae

Bernardete Ribeiro is Associate Professor with Habilitation at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, from where she got a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Informatics Specialty. Her research interests are in the areas of Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning and their applications. She is author or co–author of many publications in international refereed books, journals and conferences.
She is member of the Editorial Board of IJMISSP (International Journal of Machine Intelligence and Sensory Signal Processing) from InderScience Publisher and she has been involved in the organization of international conferences and workshops. She acts regularly as a member of the Advisory Committee of ICANNGA (Int Conf of Adaptive and Natural Computing Algorithms) series. She participated in several research projects and research programs of the European Union, various European countries, US, Latin America, and national organizations and companies, in the areas of Pattern Recognition and Machine Learn.
