Brief Curriculum Vitae
Thu–Hoa Tran–Thi received her Doctorat ès–Sciences Physiques degree in chemistry in 1983 at the University of Paris XI. Since 1982, as a CNRS researcher, she has conducted research in photochemistry. In 1989, she joined the University of Sherbooke (Canada) to develop projects on cancer phototherapy in the Department of Nuclear medecine and Biology, and became Adjunct Professor from 1990 to 2000. From 2000 to 2006, she was vice–president and then president of the French Group of Photochemistry. Since 1997, she has conducted research in chemical sensors of volatile organic compounds, applied to two domains: Environment and Health.
In 2010, she co–founded with two partners the CEA–CNRS spin–off specialized in indoor air quality, ETHERA, for which she acts as scientific advisor. She currently leads the "Chemical Sensors" team in NIMBE, a CEA–CNRS unit. She has supervised 99 students and published more than a hundred articles. She owes 12 patents, 6 being licensed.
