The Environmental Research and Innovation (ERIN) Department led by Prof. Lucien Hoffmann is presently carrying out research activities in the fields of 1) water security and safety, 2) life cycle sustainability and risk assessment, 3) plant biomass for biopolymers and bioenergy and 4) e–Science. ERIN has a strong international reputation and was participating in FP5 and FP6 projects and is currently participating in (FutureNanoNeeds, FP7; npSCOPE, SPOTVIEW, H2020).
