31-03-2014 - 31 March – 2 April 2014: 2nd Training School at Saarbrucken, Germany

COST Action TD1105 EuNetAir has organized the second TRAINING SCHOOL on Optimized Operation of Solid State Gas Sensors for Environmental Technologies and Air Quality Monitoring to be held in Saarbrucken (Germany) on 31 March – 2 April 2014 under management of Saarland University, Lab for Measurement Technology, coordinated by Prof. Andreas Schuetze.

The three–day Training School, from Monday to Wednesday, will be organized towards at least 24 reimbursed trainees and at least 5 reimbursed trainers, mainly from COST partnership.

The Training School will be devoted to specific core–issues of COST Action TD1105 such as gas sensors, devices, instrumentation, sensing technologies, sensor materials, environmental modelling, air–pollution detection, methods, standards and protocols.
Graduated students, Master students, PhD students, Post–Doc, Early Stage Researchers will be involved from COST partnership and COST Countries signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) including Near Neighbour Countries (NNC) approved institutions in open way. A fruitful exchange of knowledge and research experiences from senior teachers to young trainees is highly expected with scientific discussions on S&T fundamentals and frontier research.

A Call for Trainees (see attached file) has been launched to recruit on competitive basis at least 24 Trainees as young researchers from Action partnership and MoU–signed Countries including NNC approved institutions. An Application Form (see attached doc file) is requested from interested Early Stage Researchers to submit to the Action management by the deadline of 14 February 2014.
